I am a huge fan of Jan Austin and all the classics. I immediately wanted to read this book!
This exceeded my expectations! I absolutely fell in love with this book!

Josie and Elias share an unlikely connection that will keep you on the edge of your seat! That might be uncomfortable while reading so sit back. Josie moves to an old mansion her father left her when he died. There she finds Elias and his love letters to a Josephine who oddly sounds just like Josie.

It was so refreshing to see Caroline write with such a classic voice when referencing the past and then switch to a modern voice when the story was set in the future! I devoured this book within a week. The story was captivating, charming, romantic and kept me on the edge of my seat. There are so many little plot twist and you are falling in love and rooting for many of the different characters while being heart broken for others. The ending caught me off guard and left me feeling happy yet heartbroken by the reality in which we live.

I do hope she writes more classic literature-based stories.

Hey there! Thanks for dropping by. Contrary to the name, I do not live in a hobbit hole, I just adore them. I am a Web Designer and a homeschooling mama of four that loves to cook and follow whatever path pops in front of me. Won't you join me on this adventure?
